Cabin 2 - "Padula's Cottage"
Named after Mike Padula, rest in peace.
Castella's most beloved barkeep, tavern owner,
and millionaires during the Prohibition Era.
Named after the legendary James D. Hobbs, grandfather to Brian Theriot, and Hazel Hobbs, grandmother to Brian Theriot, Cabin 3 is also a testament to the lore of the Castella Valley with Jim and Hazel Hobbs being two of the most noted citizens since the early 60's in Castella. Hobbs was a town fixture after the death of Hazel living next to Ammirati's Market and Castella Post Office for two decades. Brian Theriot utilized Castella as a training zone for his world class running in the 80's 800 meters and 1500 meters plus mile (3:56.19) eventually earning a bronze medal United States National Championships 1984 800 meters. Cabin 3 is also noted to be a meeting place for JFK and Monroe.
Cabin 4 - "Mel's Retreat"
Christened after namesake, Melissa Crow...
bride to longtime Castella-man, Brian Theriot.
This vacation nest is one of two cabins tucked
away in the pristine woods, adjacent to Cabins
1-3. Mel's place captures the love for the region
and a patriotic toast to America with the Crow
Family's heritage dating back to the Korean War
and Vietnam War heroics of Purple Heart(s) winner,
Captain Ed Crow.
Cabin 5 - "Theriot's Lair"
Capturing the Castella's region's active lifestyle,
Cabin 5 is named after the legendary Theriot Kids
(Trevor The Moose, Danielle, Tina & Bucko) who
still travel the river, hike the trails, lead UCLA
football, fish, hunt, model, snowboard and tend
to all the cabins.
